TAKE THE LEAD PROGRAM
Mexoxo collaborates with eCornell University to democratize education for women globally.
Through the support of The L'Oréal Fund for Women, the collaboration will provide access to skills-based instruction to 70,000 vulnerable women. Program participants will complete online courses delivered through eCornell in leadership, entrepreneurship, time management, and career exploration to prepare for post-secondary education, employment, and civic involvement.
The program offers nearly 22 hours of skills-based instruction. The content is designed for pairing with other social and educational programming and provides participants with a foundation for launching careers that earn a living wage.
The curriculum is:
Becoming a Powerful Leader

Define and differentiate between leadership and management

Develop a strategy for overcoming new leadership challenges

Evaluate motivational techniques and determine when to use them

Identify the skills and relationships you need to foster that are crucial to your career development as a leader
Fundamentals of Digital Marketing

Think like a customer-centric manager

Analyze the roles played by key players in digital marketing

Determine where your brand (or one you like) sits within the social/platform-integrated ecosystem

Conduct a brand audit and brand voice workshop to define a clear brand voice for social media

Design an overarching “big idea” and creative strategy to guide brand-generated content marketing activities
Entrepreneurial Thinking

Cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset in how you approach new business opportunities within an existing firm

Assemble the necessary tangible/intangible resources for realizing new opportunities

Establish organizational processes and systems that balance the risks and rewards of new ideas to maximize the potential for success

Scale and sustain the new entrepreneurial opportunity in order to drive competitive advantage
Career Assessment Skills

Determine what is and is not getting done and how time is being used by conducting an audit of your and others’ use of time

Evaluate your own and others’ skills and interests to better distribute work
